New Applications

Financial aid applications are processed through a third-party organization. The application period opens in late January and closes at the end of March. No financial aid applications will be accepted after the deadline.
Please note that only families who have completed a San Francisco Islamic School application through the SFIS website will be considered for financial aid. Approval letters will be sent only to eligible applicants who have completed both the financial aid application and the SFIS school application.
Please do not apply for financial aid until you have submitted your child's SFIS school application. Financial aid requests from families who have not completed the school application process will not be considered.

Note: Financial aid is awarded based on need, and applying does not guarantee financial assistance by SFIS.

Submission Deadline

• Current SFIS Families: All current families are required to reapply every year.  The deadline for this year’s submission is Friday, March 27, 2027.

• New Families: All new accepted families are encouraged to submit their online application as soon as possible to be prioritized for available funds.

Required Supporting Documentation

• Most recent pay stubs

• Previous year W-2 forms for all jobs.

• Previous year filed a tax return: 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ with all schedules.

• Previous year filed a business tax return: 1120, the 1120s, 1065 (if applicable).

• Supplemental income documentation: Social Security income, Welfare, Food Stamps, Child  Support, 1099-M Forms, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment, Veterans Benefits, Housing Allowance, etc.
